Mailing Lists
There are a variety of mailing lists for Evergreen. You can find a list of them and how to sign up for them here. Please remember, regardless of which list you use that the participants are fellow community members and responses will vary depending upon the ability of people to answer them and free time. Always, politeness, patience and asking questions as clearly as possible will help.
Evergreen IRC
On our IRC page you can find information about joining IRC with a dedicated client or using our web portal. The IRC is not exclusively for technical discussions but does tend to be used more heavily by developers and systems administrators. It is also used for community meetings. At any given time it may appear that many people are online because they use IRC proxies that are persistent but in fact the channel is most heavily used during the United States / Canadian work hours and even then may have quiet periods when users are elsewhere. If you go to IRC to ask questions and do not get immediate responses it would probably be best to wait and try again later. As always patience and politeness are virtues.
